Support the Direct Auto Manager and work directly with branch employees to ensure efficient and accurate loan processing.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Review, analyze, and underwrite Direct Auto applications using sound judgment and company guidelines in the decision-making process.</li>\n <li>Assist Branch employees with negotiation of loans based on internal lending guidelines, fair lending practices, and the ECOA (Equal Credit Opportunity Act).</li>\n <li>Maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial and personal information.</li>\n <li>Review financial statements, credit reports, applicable debt ratios, and loan-to-value ratios in order to make credit decisions that mitigate future risk for the company.</li>\n <li>Communicate in a style and manner that develops and maintains a strong business relationship with all contacts.</li>\n <li>Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all loan applications, decisions, and communications as per company policies and regulations.</li>\n <li>Underwrite other loan products as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.</li>\n <li>Strictly comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and provisions of states in which Mariner operates.</li>\n <li>Follow policies and procedures of the company. Stay informed of updates to company lending policy and promptly implement applicable changes.</li>\n <li>May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree (or two (2) years of college course work); additional, applicable years of experience may be substituted for an associate’s degree.</li>\n <li>Experience working in a professional/customer service setting with demonstrated success meeting deadlines.</li>\n <li>Professional, customer-focused, and results-oriented attitude with the ability to effectively problem-solve, analyze, and use data to make informed decisions.</li>\n <li>Highly-motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Solution-based communication style with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, with customers, vendors, third parties, and all levels of company staff.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize tasks effectively to complete assigned duties and functions in a timely, accurate manner.</li>\n <li>Experience in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn financial services programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.</li>\n <li>Experience in consumer lending or financial services and/or underwriting experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hours of Work:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Monday through Friday. Saturday hours required seasonally and as business needs require. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business need.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
