Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process &amp; storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean&nbsp;Steel’s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.</span></span></span></span></span></p> \n<p><span><span><strong><span><span><span>Responsibilities:</span></span></span></strong></span></span></p> \n<ul> \n <li><span><span>Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a broad range of equipment including handtools, conveyors, shotblast machines, paint equipment, welding equipment and rigging as well as CNC bandsaws, drills and punches.</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Perform inspections on various equipment and rigging</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Assist with troubleshooting and repairs to overhead cranes</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Maintain parts inventory</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Maintain maintenance logs</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Assist in coordination of outside maintenance contractors and personnel</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Maintenance of building infrastructure</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Assist in Capital Project improvements</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Follow all safe work practices and procedures</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Working at heights</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Overtime as required</span></span></li> \n</ul> \n<p><span><span><strong><span><span><span>Requirements:</span></span></span></strong></span></span></p> \n<ul> \n <li><span><span>Red Seal Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic/Millwright with minimum 3-5 years relevant experience</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Electrical and PLC experience is a strong asset</span></span></li> \n <li><span><span>Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with Pneumatics, schematics and machine drawings</span></span></li> \n</ul> \n<p><span><span><span><span><span>As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Ocean Steel &amp; Construction Ltd. offers a comprehensive compensation package beginning after completing forty-five (45) working shifts, including seniority with Shopmen’s Local Unit No.809, overtime hours worked paid at time &amp; a half; double time on weekends, health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
