    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">QUALIFICATIONS</p><p>&bull; High school graduate or G.E.D. is required.</p><p>&bull; One year experience in a mental health care setting preferred (preferably as a Mental Health Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant).</p><p>&bull; Appropriate education in a mental health related field might be substituted for experience.</p><p>CORE RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>1. Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health.</p><p>2. Uphold and embody Beacon&rsquo;s 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service.</p><p>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES</p><p>&bull; Demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine and assigned tasks within the Beacon program.</p><p>&bull; Assists in provision of maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring compliance with program rules, providing assistance with security and supportive manpower by assisting in control of patients who exhibit unacceptable behavior.</p><p>&bull; Documents patient&rsquo;s departure from program (i.e. transportation to and from program) and significant occurrences, observed behavior, vital signs, and observation findings on assigned patients and as required by the professional nurse.</p><p>&bull; Recognizes the impact of group contagion by behavior and demonstrates assistance with therapeutic interventions.</p><p>&bull; Assists clinician with patient care tasks and therapist with therapeutic interventions.</p><p>&bull; Performs clerical duties related to support of Health Information Management, Intake, Administrative Assistant, Clinic Manager and Administrator.</p><p><br></p><p>MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN</p><p>&bull; Performs other duties and special projects as required.</p><p>&bull; Displays flexibility and willingness to help others, identifies and offers solutions to problem, vision, foresight, and customer sensitivity</p><p>&bull; Performs job with efficiency necessary to complete assignments within established time restraints and procedural guidelines.</p><p>&bull; Organizes and prioritizes work while being cost-effective and conserving resources.</p><p>&bull; Able to tolerate high-stress and high-volume work.</p><p>&bull; Deals constructively with stress, uses appropriate customer etiquette in dealing with patients, families, and inquiries.</p><p>&bull; Offers and accepts constructive feedback and responds appropriately to direction.</p><p>&bull; Works positively with both internal and external customers.</p><p>&bull; Is punctual in all aspects of work, and adheres to attendance policy.</p><p>&bull; Good physical and mental health as evidenced by warm empathic attitude.</p><p>&bull; Respect for the dignity and worth of others and a high sense of personal integrity.</p><p>&bull; Ability to work under close supervision with distractions/demanding patients and follow both verbal and written instructions.</p><p>&bull; Ability to satisfy requirements for Healthcare Provider CPR and Management of</p><p>&bull; Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).</p><p>&bull; Ability to speak English and communicate effectively.</p><p>&bull; Must be able to stand on feet for long intervals.</p><p>&bull; Must have dexterity to participate in physical restraint of patients when necessary.</p><p>The above statements are only meant to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
