(<strong>FT OVERNIGHTS)</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>To review Memorial's Benefits click here: Benefits - Memorial HR</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><em>Licensure/Certification/Registry:</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current RN license in the State of Illinois required. </li>\n <li>Maintains Healthcare Provider BLS certification.</li>\n <li>Maintains ACLS provider, PALS provider (must be completed within 12 months of hire)</li>\n <li>TNCC or TNS, ECRN or ENPC certifications preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Experience:</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Meets credit range for Clinical Ladder levels as follows (12 months experience as a registered nurse is required in order to apply for promotion in the clinical ladder):</li>\n <li> Clinical Nurse I: Registered Nurse who achieves a range of 0-12 credits on the Clinical Ladder </li>\n <li>       Behavior Grid. BSN preferred.</li>\n <li> Clinical Nurse II: Registered Nurse who achieves a range of 13-24 credits on the Clinical Ladder </li>\n <li>       Behavior Grid with evidence of behaviors from at least two categories of the Grid. BSN preferred.</li>\n <li> Clinical Nurse III: Registered Nurse who achieves at least 25 credits on the Clinical Ladder </li>\n <li>       Behavior Grid with evidence of behaviors from at least three categories on the Grid. BSN </li>\n <li>       required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Attends all hospital/nurse manager specified mandatory in-services.</li>\n <li>Maintains competencies as identified in unit specific requirements.</li>\n <li>Completion of self-evaluation. It is the incumbent's responsibility to submit to the nurse manager at annual evaluation time documentation to validate annual credentialing requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcome, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Interviews patients and /or family to obtain required history and determine appropriate Triage status.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Assists physicians with multiple bedside procedures including but not limited to chest tube insertion, intubation, suturing, lumbar puncture, etc.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Accurately cares for patients receiving forensic care, ie. Blood alcohol levels, workers compensation, rape, patient abuse.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Provides patient teaching relative to presenting conditions.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Completes 12 lead EKG’s.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Assures that department is survey-ready at all times.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Communicates effectively with ED physicians and team members.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Provides safe patient care during patient transport utilizing appropriate protocols.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Performs other related work as required or requested.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
