Financial Management Develop, manage, and control the project budget, ensuring that costs are tracked and that project financial goals are met. Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms. Identify and manage project risks to avoid cost overruns and delays. Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management, detailing project status and financial performance. Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Manage internal resources and external subcontractors to ensure timely and quality execution of the project. Conduct regular site meetings, safety meetings, and project reviews to track progress, communicate updates, and address issues. Provide performance feedback and professional development opportunities for team members. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent communication and the successful delivery of projects. Qualifications What You’ll Bring: Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Experience Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 5 years in a Project Management role. Strong background in mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection, etc.) and construction management. Proven success managing large, complex mechanical projects, including multi-million dollar budgets. Skills & Abilities Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate project teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. In-depth knowledge of project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Strong financial management skills including budget tracking, cost control, and contract administration. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Certifications (Preferred) PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). OSHA 30-hour or other safety-related certifications. Driving Requirements Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license. Must have positive points on state driving record. Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted. Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years. All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team. Physical Requirements Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
