    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>If you reside in California, please see our California Applicant Privacy Policy for more information about our data handling practices and your data rights.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>MV Transportation is seeking an <strong>Assistant General Manager</strong> to provide support, leadership, and direction to assigned operating personnel to ensure delivery of the division's business plan in our fast-paced transit business.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures performance indicators meet or exceed client and corporate expectations.</li>\n <li>Ensures division goals and objectives are met or exceeded.</li>\n <li>Ensures subordinate staff are well trained and are successful.</li>\n <li>Ensures all company policies and procedures are in place and being followed.</li>\n <li>Ensures the company vision, values, and culture are understood, communicated, and promoted throughout operations.</li>\n <li>Ensures liquidated damages are kept to a minimum, and failures are corrected.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain positive employee and labor relations.</li>\n <li>Directly oversees operations department managers.</li>\n <li>Trains and mentors a future successor for backfill.</li>\n <li>Successfully manages the Operations Department's annual budget.</li>\n <li>Assumes responsibility of the General Manager during his/her absence.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Talent Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have a minimum of five (5) years of steady, successful supervisory experience in public transportation with at least five (5) years of ADA paratransit operations management experience in a service with 150+ vehicles.</li>\n <li>paratransit operations management experience in a service</li>\n <li>Certifications according to local contract as required.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of State and Federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Experience in development of runs, shift bids and run cuts.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills including written and verbal.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.</li>\n <li>Strong supervision skills with ability to lead others to success.</li>\n <li>Ability to develop solutions to challenge through planning and implementation.</li>\n <li>Ability to write and speak English.</li>\n <li>High level of familiarity of Windows based computers and MS Office.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>MV Transportation is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
