    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Position responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Utilizing sound technical knowledge, especially in the areas of water resources engineering analysis and design</li>\n <li>Working with the Water Resources Engineering (WRE) team to identify and pursue water resources opportunities</li>\n <li>Potential to lead a team of engineers and technicians in the performance of H&H related projects</li>\n <li>Developing flood warning/flood forecasting into a target area of expertise for Walter P Moore’s WRE group</li>\n <li>Developing a national network of clients and consultant alliances to position the WRE group</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Requirements include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sound knowledge of frequently used software such as HEC programs, XP-SWMM, EPA SWMM, etc.</li>\n <li>Experience with both the analysis and design of flood damage reduction and mitigation projects as well as the development of flood warning/flood forecasting systems.</li>\n <li>Sound technical skills, especially in the area of water resources engineering</li>\n <li>Flexibility to manage and perform analyses related to both water resources engineering studies focused on flood damage reduction and mitigation, and projects related specifically to the development of flood warning/flood forecasting systems</li>\n <li>Good communication and organizational skills, especially technical writing</li>\n <li>Knowledge in the development of construction documents, plans, and specifications</li>\n <li>Related local experience a plus</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of GIS is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>PE in Texas, or ability to be registered in Texas</li>\n <li>BS or MS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in hydrology/hydraulics, water resources or related field</li>\n <li>6+ years of relevant national projects experience</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in growing a water resources practice</li>\n <li>Working knowledge and understanding of capabilities and limitations of flood warning/flood forecasting systems</li>\n <li>Working knowledge and understanding of local design codes and standards</li>\n <li>Existing client network a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Walter P Moore is an equal employment opportunity employer, and provides equal employment opportunities (including offering competitive compensation and benefit packages) to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to any characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Walter P Moore is an international company of engineers, architects, innovators, and creative people who solve some of the world’s most complex structural and infrastructure challenges.
