          "text": "<p><strong>WHAT'S THE JOB?</strong></p><p>This position is a key member of the Dexterra Group business and reports directly to the Operations Team Lead.&#xa0; The Estimator works in a team environment developing estimates for various projects throughout Canada for the Integrated Facilities support team. They work closely with Trade specific leads to price reactive, project and Capex replacement projects. This position works with key individuals on both the client and operations group.</p><p>The Estimator is responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates, including labour, materials, transportation, and 3rd party subcontracting.&#xa0; The Estimator also assists with our historical cost analysis, establishing unit rates, risk management and other related activities. &#xa0;Estimating accuracy is critical to the profitability of the business, as under-estimates may cause significant financial losses and over-estimates may result in the inability to win contracts.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Review drawings, specifications, and attend pre-bid meetings to define scope</li><li>Ability to price out Mechanical Small Works quotes</li><li>Develop and validate cost estimates, including risks, contingencies, and indirect costs</li><li>Collaborate with Operations, and partners to support pricing strategy</li><li>Contribute to improving estimating tools, models, and processes</li><li>Perform post-bid and job cost analysis to drive continuous improvement</li><li>Support presentations and proposal development as needed</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>Technical training in construction or equivalent combination of technical training and estimating experience.</li><li>Relevant post-secondary education preferred.</li><li>Strong Office Suite skills especially spreadsheets and word processing software.</li><li>Previous work experience in a small works or institutional environment</li><li>Experience in commercial construction estimating considered an asset.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret building specifications and blueprints.</li><li>Mathematical skills and analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills.</li><li>Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.</li><li>Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.</li></ul>",
