This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract. You will be a member of the Mission Intelligence (MI) team supporting a variety of data engineering, analysis, and automation efforts. The MI team maintains a business intelligence platform supporting data-driven decisions in the enterprise. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability of this mission-essential platform. You will also contribute to the MI team as a software engineer and analytic developer where you will design, develop, and integrate solutions involving the analysis of large data sets to establish mission cognizance and deliver mission-centric insights. Responsibilities: Incrementally incorporate site reliability engineering principles into the existing operational platform. Maintain and advance a mission-essential business intelligence platform. Elicit requirements from stakeholders, gather and analyze available data, and develop solutions for delivering key metrics. Develop analytics to combine, normalize, and enrich large data sets. Design and implement ETL workflows to convert and normalize data. Augment the platform with new tools or technologies. Provide guidance to more junior software engineers and data scientists. Communicate clearly through written documentation. Key Requirements: To be considered for this position you must have the following: Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.   U.S. Citizenship. Professional/Education experience: 12 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 4 additional years in place of a BS Degree.  Works well independently as well as on a team.  Strong communication skills.  Required Skills: Strong customer service mindset. Production-grade software development experience in Java and Python. Experience or familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles. Familiarity with customer authentication and authorization platforms and standards. Experience with productizing software as containers and deployment with Docker/Kubernetes. Confidence with Git and Gitlab for software version control. Confidence with basic to intermediate Linux System Administration tasks. Willingness to contribute to internal and customer-facing written documentation. Desired Skills: Familiarity with Apache NiFi. Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Kibana.  Familiarity with Kubernetes. Knowledge of map-reduce analytic environments (e.g., Hadoop). Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems. Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations. Experience with frontend UI development. Location: Laurel, MD (onsite full time) Salary Range:  The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.</p><ul><li>You will be a member of the Mission Intelligence (MI) team supporting a variety of data engineering, analysis, and automation efforts.</li><li>The MI team maintains a business intelligence platform supporting data-driven decisions in the enterprise.</li><li>Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability of this mission-essential platform.</li><li>You will also contribute to the MI team as a software engineer and analytic developer where you will design, develop, and integrate solutions involving the analysis of large data sets to establish mission cognizance and deliver mission-centric insights.</li></ul><p><b>Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li>Incrementally incorporate site reliability engineering principles into the existing operational platform.</li><li>Maintain and advance a mission-essential business intelligence platform.</li><li>Elicit requirements from stakeholders, gather and analyze available data, and develop solutions for delivering key metrics.</li><li>Develop analytics to combine, normalize, and enrich large data sets.</li><li>Design and implement ETL workflows to convert and normalize data.</li><li>Augment the platform with new tools or technologies.</li><li>Provide guidance to more junior software engineers and data scientists.</li><li>Communicate clearly through written documentation.</li></ul><p><b>Key Requirements:</b></p><p>To be considered for this position you must have the following:</p><ul><li><strong><u>Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.</u></strong> </li><li>U.S. Citizenship.</li><li>Professional/Education experience: 12 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 4 additional years in place of a BS Degree. </li><li>Works well independently as well as on a team. </li><li>Strong communication skills. </li></ul><p><b>Required Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Strong customer service mindset.</li><li>Production-grade software development experience in Java and Python.</li><li>Experience or familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.</li><li>Familiarity with customer authentication and authorization platforms and standards.</li><li>Experience with productizing software as containers and deployment with Docker/Kubernetes.</li><li>Confidence with Git and Gitlab for software version control.</li><li>Confidence with basic to intermediate Linux System Administration tasks.</li><li>Willingness to contribute to internal and customer-facing written documentation.</li></ul><p><b>Desired Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Familiarity with Apache NiFi.</li><li>Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Kibana. </li><li>Familiarity with Kubernetes.</li><li>Knowledge of map-reduce analytic environments (e.g., Hadoop).</li><li>Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.</li><li>Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.</li><li>Experience with frontend UI development.</li></ul><p><b>Location: </b>Laurel, MD (onsite full time)</p><p><b>Salary Range:</b> The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications.
