This position serves as a core preceptor for an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency program, contributing to resident education, evaluation, and professional development. The pharmacist functions as an integral member of the interprofessional healthcare and education team.</p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide comprehensive medication management for older adults, including deprescribing and polypharmacy reduction using evidence-based tools.</li>\n <li>Manage and monitor pharmacotherapy for substance use disorders, including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and harm-reduction strategies.</li>\n <li>Deliver community pharmacy MTM services, including comprehensive and targeted medication reviews, documentation, and provider communication.</li>\n <li>Identify and resolve medication-related problems related to safety, effectiveness, adherence, and cost.</li>\n <li>Serve as a pharmacy residency preceptor in accordance with ASHP Accreditation Standards, including resident mentoring, teaching, and evaluation.</li>\n <li>Participate in residency recruitment, orientation, assessment, and continuous quality improvement.</li>\n <li>Contribute to clinical service development, quality improvement, and policy or guideline initiatives.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient-centered care.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>The Pharmacist will also provide coverage of pharmacy staffing and other ambulatory care service needs.</p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCIES:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced clinical expertise in geriatric pharmacotherapy, including polypharmacy management and deprescribing</li>\n <li>Clinical competence in substance use disorder treatment, including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and harm-reduction strategies</li>\n <li>Proficiency in community pharmacy medication therapy management (MTM), including comprehensive and targeted medication reviews and documentation</li>\n <li>Ability to identify, resolve, and communicate medication-related problems affecting safety, effectiveness, adherence, and cost</li>\n <li>Strong patient-centered communication and education skills, particularly with older adults and vulnerable populations</li>\n <li>Effective interprofessional collaboration within a family medicine residency and integrated care team</li>\n <li>Competence in pharmacy residency precepting and teaching in alignment with ASHP standards</li>\n <li>Commitment to quality improvement, professional ethics, and continuous learning</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p> · Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>· Active pharmacist license in Wyoming or eligibility for licensure.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>· Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>· Eligibility to serve as a residency preceptor per ASHP standards.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>· Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills</p>\n<p>· Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the <a href=\"https://www.uwyo.edu/regs-policies/_files/docs/policies/uw-sap-7-9.10-vehicle-sap-driver-portion-approved4-27-22.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Driving for University Business SAP</a>.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  &nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p> · PGY2 residency in Ambulatory Care, Geriatrics, or Psychiatry.</p>\n<p>· Board certification (e.g., BCGP, BCACP, BCPS) or eligibility.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>· Experience in geriatrics, substance use disorders, and/or community pharmacy MTM.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>· Prior experience precepting pharmacy students or residents.</p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS: </strong></p>\n<p>Complete the online application.&nbsp; The department additionally requests candidates upload the following document(s) for a complete application:&nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Cover letter&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Resume or C.V.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Contact information for four work-related references (references will only be contacted if you are selected as a finalist for the position).&nbsp;</li>\n</ol>\n<p><strong>This position will remain open until filled.
