Operating within GDOT’s enterprise IT environment, the TPM is responsible for assessment of specialized applications, platforms or data product requests. This role requires a blend of business acumen and a deep understanding of technical architecture, system integrations, and data structures.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Core Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">1.Stakeholder Management &amp; Requirement Engineering</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Act as the primary liaison between business units (e.g., Engineering, Planning, Operations), executive leadership, and internal/external engineering teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Lead discovery sessions to uncover and analyze deep user needs, transforming vague business requests into highly structured, prioritized product backlogs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Translate complex business processes into technical specifications, system architecture maps, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria for developers.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">2.Technical Leadership &amp; Platform Governance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, security teams, and database administrators to evaluate technical feasibility, manage system dependencies, and mitigate technical risks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure all product features conform to internal IT governance frameworks, state agency security protocols, and strict regulatory or federal compliance standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Evaluate APIs, data integration plans, and existing software capabilities within the IT and Transportation Tech markets to determine buy-vs-build strategies.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">3.Communication</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> Establish and enforce a protocol for consistent and detailed documentation for all developed solutions to be used by both internal and external resources (GDOT and suppliers).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Document and present status updates to stakeholders and management</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">4.Continuous Process Improvement &amp; Documentation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Identify opportunities to optimize the IT project intake, evaluation, and prioritization processes using data-driven insights.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop, standardize, and maintain guidelines, templates, operating procedures, and training materials to help business users submit high-quality project requests.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Draft formal technical policies, agency guidance documentation, and system regulations for management approval within assigned timeframes.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span> 4+ years of product management or technical program management experience, preferably within a government agency, enterprise IT, or transportation technology ecosystem.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Acumen:</span> Familiarity with data pipelines, GIS/spatial data systems, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), or enterprise service platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Vendor Management:</span> Experience overseeing outsourced or contractor-led software development efforts is highly desirable</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>",
