Our bar team is essential to creating memorable guest experiences, and the Barback plays a key support role ensuring smooth, efficient bar operations.\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p></p>The Barback assists bartenders by maintaining bar cleanliness, stocking supplies, and ensuring a well-organized and high-functioning bar environment. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position perfect for individuals who enjoy teamwork, hospitality, and thrive behind the scenes. \n<h3><strong>Bar Support & Operations</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Refill and restock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, napkins, ice, and other supplies throughout service.</li>\n <li>Ensure bartenders have all materials needed for efficient and consistent service.</li>\n <li>Prepare basic garnishes and assist with bar prep tasks at the start of shift.</li>\n <li>Maintain clean and organized storage areas and assist with inventory procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Cleanliness & Safety</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Keep bar areas clean, including wiping surfaces, clearing glassware, emptying trash, and maintaining sanitary workspaces.</li>\n <li>Clean and polish glassware throughout the shift; ensure restocked items meet quality standards.</li>\n <li>Maintain ice bins, bar mats, and bar tools to health and safety standards.</li>\n <li>Support proper handling of chemicals and cleaning supplies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Guest Service Support</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver friendly, approachable assistance when interacting with guests.</li>\n <li>Restock water stations and ensure bar is presentable and inviting.</li>\n <li>Assist in running drinks or food when needed during peak periods.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Teamwork & Collaboration</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Work closely with bartenders, servers, and bar leadership to ensure seamless service.</li>\n <li>Assist with setup and breakdown for events and lodge activities.</li>\n <li>Uphold The Virginian Lodge’s values of warmth, teamwork, and authentic hospitality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent bending, standing for long periods).</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic and reliability; ability to stay organized under pressure.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn and follow direction.</li>\n <li>Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.</li>\n <li>Must be 21+ in compliance with Wyoming alcohol service regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Preferred</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous barback, food runner, or hospitality experience.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of bar operations, bar tools, and beverage terminology.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Wyoming liquor laws and safe alcohol service practices.</li>\n <li>Interest in hospitality, teamwork, or progressing into bartending roles.</li>\n</ul>\n<h1><strong>Schedule & Work Environment</strong></h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li>\n <li>Fast-paced bar and saloon environment with occasional outdoor event support.</li>\n <li>Seasonal and year-round opportunities depending on Lodge needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
