This role supports environmental, engineering, and construction projects by providing accurate test and inspection data, maintaining equipment, and preparing detailed reports. The technician will work collaboratively with engineering staff, contractors, and clients to ensure quality and safety on construction sites.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Perform field &amp; laboratory tests according to prescribed procedures and standards.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Collect soil and concrete samples, prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Use specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare reports and technical data.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Operate computer systems and peripheral equipment; maintain results log.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Set up, maintain, and calibrate equipment.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Confer with Engineering staff on test efforts.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Inspect construction activities on heavy highway construction projects.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Monitor work performed by contractors or vendors.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Ensure materials used on projects meet specifications.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Inspect common, unclassified and roadway excavation, embankment, borrow pits, and removal, storage, and placement of topsoil.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Complete appropriate forms and paperwork for construction activities completed each day.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Maintain considerable contact with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Work with other task team members and leaders.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Moves a case weighing up to 95 pounds.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Pushes up to 250 pounds in a wheelbarrow.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Remains in a stationary position for extended periods.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Operates tools requiring fine motor skills.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Traverses construction sites having uneven terrain, slopes, confined spaces, or reinforced trenches.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Positions self to access tools and materials in various locations.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Conducts visual assessments of construction quality and safety.</span><span style=\"font-size: 12px;
