Our CDL drivers satisfy a critical role here at <strong>H&K</strong>. This position places an emphasis on reliability and attentiveness, as maintaining both a truck log and the trucks themselves are daily responsibilities that come along with the position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why work for H&K Group, Inc.? </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>100% Company-paid Health Benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) Savings and Investment Plan</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement programs available to qualifying employees for approved programs</li>\n <li>Additional training opportunities including on the job, online through the H&K Academy, manufacturer offered training, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies</li>\n <li>Drives truck to destination</li>\n <li>Prepares receipts for load pick up</li>\n <li>Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy</li>\n <li>Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions</li>\n <li>Loads and unloads truck</li>\n <li>Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water</li>\n <li>Performs daily pre and post trip of vehicle</li>\n <li>Tarps all loads when public roadway travel is necessary</li>\n <li>Trims all loads prior to tarping when necessary</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution</li>\n <li>Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience</li>\n <li>Valid Medical Card</li>\n <li>Clean driving record</li>\n <li>Customer Service and Teamwork</li>\n <li>Strong Verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3 years of commercial driving experience\n  <ul>\n   <li>Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement</li>\n <li>TWIC card preferred with CDL class A</li>\n <li>Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries</li>\n <li>MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Frequently required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Sit</li>\n   <li>Use hands to finger, handle, or feel</li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently required to talk or hear</li>\n <li>Occasionally required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions</li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to vibration</li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually loud</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) <strong>Pikes Creek Division</strong> (formerly Pikes Creek Site Contractors) has been a proud member of our heavy civil construction team since 2000.
