The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the current NEC codebook, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, and the National Electrical Safety Code.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Candidates should be familiar with construction standards and methodologies, particularly in new commercial/industrial builds and commercial tenant improvements (T.I.s). Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, installation manuals, wiring schematics, and sketches, and perform layout work accordingly.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Actively participate in the safety program, including weekly tailgate meetings, completing safety rosters, and instructing apprentices in safety procedures.</li>\n<li>Use test equipment to identify, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues.</li>\n<li>Follow instructions and communicate professionally with foreman and coworkers.</li>\n<li>Exercise sound judgment and escalate issues when necessary.</li>\n<li>Order and install materials; document redline changes accurately.</li>\n<li>Operate hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to complete tasks.</li>\n<li>Report to work on time, fit for duty.</li>\n<li>Promptly report accidents, harassment, suspected abuse, or other concerns to management.</li>\n<li>Accurately complete time and cost coding records.</li>\n<li>Stay current on NEC/NFPA, NESC, OSHA codes and standards.</li>\n<li>Perform work that meets QA/QC and third-party inspection standards.</li>\n<li>Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li>\n<li>Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and pride in workmanship.</li>\n<li>Follow camp rules and maintain respectful behavior while working in remote locations.</li>\n<li>Notify PM, GC, or bunkmate if not returning to lodging; follow check-in/out procedures.</li>\n<li>Mentor apprentices and support team development.</li>\n<li>Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.</li>\n<li>Represent Samson positively through professional behavior.</li>\n<li>Be flexible, able to prioritize tasks, and work for multiple supervisors.</li>\n<li>Uphold ethical standards, including reporting changes in licensing or other concerns.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent organizational and time management skills</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication abilities</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software</li>\n<li>Analytical and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively</li>\n<li>Relevant industry certifications or licenses (Preferred)</li>\n<li>Experience with industry-specific tools and software (Preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a U.S. citizen or have valid legal work status</li>\n<li>Must pass pre-hire Drug &amp; Alcohol screening and comply with company policy</li>\n<li>Must have a satisfactory criminal background check</li>\n<li>Valid State of Alaska Certificate of Fitness</li>\n<li>Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain personal vehicle insurance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties as Assigned:<span> </span></span>This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive document of all tasks associated with performance of the job described above.
