We are seeking a strategic and relationship focused <strong>Manager, IT Contract & Vendor Management</strong> to lead the governance, performance, and optimization of our IT vendor portfolio. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional contract administration and become a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping shape technology sourcing decisions that support BC Ferries' long-term transformation goals. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you're a strategic, relationship-driven leader with a passion for optimizing IT vendor ecosystems, we want to hear from you. </p>\n<p><strong>The Role</strong> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Transformation, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of IT vendor and contract management. This includes developing vendor strategies, negotiating complex agreements, strengthening vendor partnerships, managing risk, and ensuring our technology investments deliver maximum value to the business. </p>\n<p>This role is critical to achieving company objectives, delivering value through key areas of oversight including: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Cultivating and maintaining relationships with IT vendors to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Acting as the primary point of contact for IT vendor communications, issue resolution, and escalations; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducting regular IT vendor performance reviews and providing feedback to vendors as needed; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Negotiating IT contracts, service level agreements, and pricing structures with vendors to achieve favorable terms, conditions, and cost optimization; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviewing and analyzing contract terms to ensure compliance with legal, Procurement & Supply Chain, and regulatory requirements; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitoring contract expiration dates and renewal deadlines, proactively managing contract renewals and terminations; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborating with internal stakeholders to assess business needs and requirements for IT services and solutions; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Leading the vendor selection process in partnership with Procurement & Supply Chain, including vendor evaluation, RFx development, and vendor scoring on behalf of IT; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Facilitating the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring smooth transition and integration into existing IT operations; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identifying and assessing vendor-related risks, including cybersecurity, data privacy, financial stability, and industry factors impacting vendor performance; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential vendor disruptions; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Establishing key performance indicators and metrics to measure and monitor vendor performance and service quality; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducting regular performance reviews and audits to monitor vendor compliance and service delivery; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducting regular internal compliance reviews to ensure adherence to vendor terms and conditions; </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure compliance, enhance performance, and drive customer satisfaction; </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you bring to the team</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>MBA or relevant graduate degree is considered an asset </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of experience in IT vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and interpret legal and commercial terms </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of enterprise IT vendors and technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, privacy, security, data protection) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with procurement processes, RFx development, and vendor evaluation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and vendor management tools </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>A strategic mindset paired with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What we offer</strong> </p>\n<p>This is a regular full-time position with a target salary range of <strong>$98,500 to $123,100</strong> per annum. The starting salary is determined based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Taking care of our employees is a top priority for us, and to do that, we offer benefits that help you stay healthy in all ways.
