On-Target Earnings: $115,000 - $125,000 Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 ** This is a base plus bonus/commission role, designed for high performers. While the base provides stability, total earnings depend on achieving and exceeding your annual quota. Total earnings are uncapped and performance based. Job Summary: The Member Development Manager serves as a recruiting specialist in a quota-carrying sales role responsible for driving new Member acquisition within a defined territory. This position owns the full sales cycle—including prospecting, pipeline development, and closing—by clearly articulating the value of Nationwide Marketing Group to independent retailers. Success is measured by the ability to consistently meet or exceed new Member acquisition targets. This role requires strong market research, competitive awareness, and disciplined pipeline management, along with the ability to leverage vendor partner relationships to accelerate recruiting efforts. The Recruiting Specialist also ensures a smooth transition from sale to onboarding, positioning new Members to quickly adopt and benefit from NMG services. Job Responsibilities: Achieve and exceed assigned new Member acquisition quota (set annually), with full ownership of territory growth performance. Execute a structured, territory-based sales strategy to generate and convert leads through targeted prospecting, outbound outreach, in-person meetings, and industry engagement. Manage the full sales lifecycle, including pipeline development, needs discovery, value-based selling, objection resolution, and closing. Maintain a high-quality, actionable pipeline, including a Top 50 Prospect list, with weekly updates and formal review with leadership. Leverage vendor partner relationships to identify opportunities, facilitate introductions, and support joint recruiting initiatives that drive conversion. Utilize NetSuite CRM as the system of record to consistently document activities, manage opportunities, track pipeline health, and ensure accurate forecasting. Monitor and act on performance data through Power BI and CRM dashboards to prioritize efforts, optimize conversion rates, and mitigate pipeline risk. Adhere to defined activity standards and sales cadence expectations to ensure consistent pipeline progression and quota attainment. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective onboarding and a seamless transition from sale to active Member engagement. Represent the organization in the market by participating in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to drive lead generation and brand awareness. Collaborate: Work effectively with vendor partners, internal teams, and peers to deliver solutions that achieve member success and regional revenue goals. Drive Results: Maintain a strong focus on achieving quota, identifying new opportunities, and turning potential into measurable results. Self-Manage: Plan your territory, manage your pipeline, and work independently in a field-based environment while staying accountable to goals and deadlines. Business & Market Awareness. Applies knowledge of industry and competitive landscape to strengthen positioning and sales strategy. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of quota-carrying sales experience, preferably in B2B, territory-based or field sales role. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with consistent performance against defined quotas. Strong closing skills with the ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through conversion. Must reside in, or within a reasonable commuting distance to, the assigned territory to allow for regular in-person visits with members. Exact travel expectations will depend on assigned territory size and available travel budget. Knowledge of CRM systems and their purpose in supporting sales, tracking activity, and enhancing member engagement. Prior hands-on experience is not required. Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and ability to travel frequently, including overnight trips and occasional air travel. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to influence business outcomes and drive program adoption. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams). Preferred Qualifications : Experience selling into independent retail, buying groups, or membership-based organizations. Bachelor’s Degree. Industry experience in Appliances, Electronics, Furniture and Bedding. Working knowledge of revenue-generating tools used by retailers, such as product protection plans, retail financing, e-commerce best practices, and marketing/advertising strategies. Preference given to Oregon, Washington, Idaho (Pacific Northwest) Work Environment: This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel throughout your assigned region, including retail sites and offices across multiple cities and states. Expect extended periods in a vehicle, occasional overnight trips, and some air travel. When working from your home office, you will conduct calls, virtual meetings, CRM updates, and territory planning. This role is best suited for self-motivated individuals who thrive in a mix of in-person engagement, travel, and independent work.
