    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Foreman is a working foreman position with superior experience and proven success in the leadership position.</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.</li><li>Work safely while performing the task at hand.</li><li>Responsible in efficiently scheduling crews and assigning their work.</li><li>Maintain necessary records (written and computer records).</li><li>Assists fellow workers in meeting project objectives.</li><li>Maintain good customer and public relations.</li><li>Communicate with customers to convey any project related issues, concerns, explanations, procedures, and techniques to be used.</li><li>Lead, train, and coach team members on the proper pruning (natural &amp; directional) techniques.</li><li>Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional and safe manner.</li><li>Assist in visual observation and safety checks in the process of vegetation management and cleaning.</li><li>Readily join storm restoration efforts in times of need.</li><li>Ensure crew members carry out work as planned.</li><li>Adapt quickly to abrupt changes in plans and schedules.</li><li>Understand the Line Clearance Contract with the Owner and be able to adhere to it.</li><li>Effectively communicate with crew members.</li><li>Be safety conscious by securing the safety of yourself and others utilizing proper tools, safety equipment, and PPE.</li><li>Participate in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills.</li><li>Responsible for coordinating and inspecting the work of crew members.</li><li>Safely perform the necessary tasks to complete the job.</li><li>Responsible for complying with company reporting procedures and completing company paperwork.</li><li>Assist in on-the-job training for less experienced climbers and bucket operators.</li><li>Readily accept accountability for crew availability.</li><li>Properly inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</li><li>Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.</li><li>Effectively communicate with crew members to ensure they have proper understanding of work directives and the ability to efficiently communicate with customers/property owners about work practices to obtain their concurrence with the necessary work.</li><li>Demonstrate possession of the knowledge and experience required in subordinate positions.</li><li>Must follow Company Safety Rules and Company Policies and Procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>1-2 years of recent experience.</li><li>Able to read and communicate effectively in English.</li><li>Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.</li><li>Loader experience a plus</li><li><strong>Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).</strong></li><li>Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.</li><li>Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.</li><li>Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.</li><li>Willing to work overtime when requested.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Must be safety conscious.</li><li>Must be trustworthy and responsible.</li><li>Must have excellent communication and people skills.</li><li>Must have broad knowledge if all climbing skills and all other technical aspects (mechanical and manual) of electrical line clearance operations.</li><li>Possess broad knowledge of all climbing skills and all other technical aspects (both mechanical and manual) of electrical line clearance operations.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of proper pruning techniques (natural and directional pruning).</li><li>Must have proven skills through job performance as a top climber (CA).</li><li>Working knowledge of all the equipment and tools used on crews and know how to operate the equipment in the most efficient manner.</li><li>Must have excellent leadership skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Understand when to wear personal protective equipment.</li><li>Able to perform rigorous physical labor.</li><li>Understand proper use of company radio.</li><li>Understand the proper use and maintenance of hand tools.</li><li>Capable of receiving and following directions.</li><li>Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.</li><li>Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.</li><li>Does all other related work as required to complete the job.</li><li>Able to read/write and communicate effectively.</li><li>Must follow Company Safety Rules and Company Policies and Procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
