    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\"><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"></span><div class=\"fr-view\"><div><div><div><div><p><span style=\"color: rgb(46, 46, 46); font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for Full Time <strong>Communications Officer I&nbsp;</strong>in our Public Safety Department.&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: georgia, serif;\"><br><br>This position is to receive and dispatch emergency calls to the County&rsquo;s Sheriff&rsquo;s Department, Public Safety Department, Cities of Pembroke and Richmond Hill Police and Fire Departments, EMS, Bryan County Fire Departments, and Animal Control.<br><br><strong>The following duties are normal for this position.</strong> <strong>These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.</strong> <strong>Other duties may be required and assigned.</strong><br><br>Answers multi-line telephone to receive calls from the general public; determines the nature, location and specifics of emergency or problem and provides non-emergency help and referral assistance as needed.<br><br>Operate two-way radio to dispatch the appropriate law enforcement, fire and/or emergency medical services personnel to scene.<br><br>Monitors the location and activities of all law enforcement, and other emergency services personnel on CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) system.<br><br>Dispatches law enforcement to assist other agencies and officers as needed.<br><br>Records case information on incident cards and assigns case number to calls.<br><br>Maintain wrecker log, community service log, bonds log, case report numbers (CRN) log and other log sheets.<br><br>Contacts wrecker services, utility companies and various agencies to respond to emergency calls.<br><br>May run NCIC/GCIC inquiries on vehicle registrations, driver&rsquo;s license checks and criminal background histories; relays information to law enforcement.<br><br>Enters/removes warrants into GCIC/NCIC.<br><br>Monitors alarm board for businesses, homes, and banks.<br><br>Issues incident reports to the general public.<br><br>Maintain log of warrants and civil papers served by deputy sheriffs.<br><br>Punctuality and attendance are essential.<br><br>Performs other related duties as required.<br><br><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong>High School Diploma (or GED) required, must be capable of demonstrating the ability to operate the E911 equipment under the supervision of a trainer; demonstrate the ability to work unassisted in any of the operator positions within the department; must attend and pass the state certification and complete training on GCIC with in six months.
