    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span><br>We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team in a fast-paced Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike setting. This role is essential in supporting patient care through accurate specimen collection, processing, and coordination with laboratory services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse patient populations, and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Perform venipuncture and capillary collections on patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations</li>\n<li>Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of all specimens</li>\n<li>Prepare and process specimens, including proper handling, centrifugation (spinning), aliquoting, and packaging for transport</li>\n<li>Maintain knowledge of specimen requirements (e.g., tube types, order of draw, handling conditions)</li>\n<li>Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)</li>\n<li>Follow all infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols</li>\n<li>Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of phlebotomy and lab supplies</li>\n<li>Properly store specimens and coordinate pickup or delivery to external laboratories as needed</li>\n<li>Assist with point-of-care testing as applicable</li>\n<li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab and draw areas</li>\n<li>Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures and addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy</li>\n<li>Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow</li>\n<li>Keep accurate records on specimens and tests</li>\n<li>Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working</li>\n<li>Acting as a liaison between MCHC and lab processing company</li>\n<li>Maintain compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">POSITION DETAILS</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Schedule:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday though Friday availability, 9 am - 5 pm</li>\n<li>Saturdays also available (6 hour shift), 9 am - 3 pm </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION</span><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phlebotomist Certification</li>\n<li>Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician</li>\n<li>Experience with effective puncture techniques</li>\n<li>Understanding of proper patient identification methods</li>\n<li>Knowledge of legal requirements about drawing blood, handling samples and use of relevant medical equipment and material</li>\n<li>Ability to use computers to enter information</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills</li>\n<li>Attention to detail</li>\n<li>Ability to connect with various types of patients (such as children, elderly, pregnant women) and make them feel comfortable</li>\n<li>Patience and presence of mind<br></li>\n<li>Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Certification:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phlebotomist <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">(Required)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Preferred Skills</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Karen, Rohingya, Burmese etc. is a plus</li>\n<li>Proficiency in EPIC EMR</li>\n<li>Familiarity with Labcorp is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Preferred Experience:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phlebotomy: 2 years (Preferred)</li>\n<li>EMR systems: 2 years (Preferred)</li>\n<li>Medical terminology: 2 years (Preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join Us?</span><br><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">At MCHC, we are committed to providing accessible, high-quality care to our community.
