Our mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the people who depend on us.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">We&rsquo;re currently seeking a dedicated <strong>Diabetic Care &amp; Education Specialist Nurse&nbsp;</strong>to join our Diabetic <strong>Education&nbsp;Department</strong> at our hospital<strong>&nbsp;locations</strong>.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Performs outpatient professional nursing consultation and educational services for persons with diabetes of all types and ages in the form of individual appointments, classes, and community events. Assists in the development of curriculum, including the most up-to-date research. Education to be provided includes the necessary lifestyle changes involved with a diabetes diagnosis, which includes but is not limited to; activity, nutrition, social barriers, medications, costs, physical activity, glucose testing, problem-solving, and financial/food assistance. Assists with developing educational policies and procedures.
