Legal Aid of Nebraska is seeking an attorney to join our ElderAccessLine team in a flexible role serving Nebraskans statewide. This position is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are early in their legal careers and interested in developing their skills while making a meaningful impact. This role combines legal analysis, client guidance, intake services, and community engagement. The attorney will work closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure clients receive high-quality legal information and services while supporting efficient statewide intake operations. Essential Responsibilities · Evaluate Centralized Intake Unit applications to determine eligibility and level of service · Conduct legal research, client interviews, and fact gathering to provide legal advice and recommendations · Educate clients regarding legal options, processes, and potential outcomes · Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to serve clients effectively · Assist with daily intake operations and client service delivery · Ensure compliance with Legal Services Corporation (LSC) regulations and recordkeeping requirements · Maintain and develop knowledge of legal issues affecting elders and low-income communities · Support outreach and education efforts within the elder community statewide · Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies and community organizations · Assist in developing intake guidance materials, scripts, and documentation · Participate in AccessLine and ElderAccessLine call support as needed
