    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This position is part-time on-site at The Butterfly House &amp; Aquarium located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.</span> We provide experiences with the tropics and the ocean in our landlocked state, creating connection and inspiring conservation of wild species and spaces.</p>\n<p>Guest Experience Associates provide the first and last impression for the guests of the Butterfly House &amp; Aquarium. Associates work in the admissions and gift shop area: serving guests when they purchase admission and memberships as well as gift shop items. In addition, Associates will assist with facility cleanliness, perform daily operations, and serve as interpreters in the butterfly &amp; aquarium exhibits as needed.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report to the Lead Guest Experience Associate and Guest Experience &amp; Engagement Director</li>\n<li>Greet and interact with guests with enthusiasm and patience</li>\n<li>Sell admission tickets, memberships, and process memberships</li>\n<li>Answer guests’ questions about the facility and the community of Sioux Falls</li>\n<li>Sell gift shop items and prepare gift shop merchandise for sale</li>\n<li>General facility cleaning: restrooms and high-touch areas</li>\n<li>Open and close registers and admission/gift shop computers for business, complete daily paperwork, and balance cash drawers throughout the shift</li>\n<li>Open and close common areas of the facility (Discovery Den, Education Displays/Signage throughout building, etc.)</li>\n<li>Uphold the USDA guidelines for the facility</li>\n<li>Supervise guests with interactive exhibits and exhibit guidelines</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employee discount and flexible scheduling</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1 year in Customer Service preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Schedule:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Part Time: between 16-20 hours scheduled per week.</li>\n<li>Shifts are 9:00am - 4:30pm Sunday through Saturday.</li>\n<li>The position is paid hourly. Wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Facility operation hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm Sunday through Saturday year-round. The facility is closed to the public on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
