With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Staff Project Manager, Facilities Development leads complex capital projects from concept through commissioning across Joby’s multi-site portfolio, including R&D, manufacturing, flight test, office, and support facilities. Operating as a senior individual contributor, this role applies deep technical and financial expertise to independently deliver high-value projects while influencing cross-functional and senior stakeholders.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead end-to-end delivery of complex capital projects, typically $1M–$50M, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality</li>\n <li>Drive feasibility, programming, design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities</li>\n <li>Apply expert judgment to resolve complex technical, financial, and schedule challenges with minimal direction</li>\n <li>Manage project budgets, forecasts, change control, and executive-level reporting</li>\n <li>Lead selection and management of architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants</li>\n <li>Partner with Workplace, Facilities Maintenance, IT, Security, EHS, and other teams to ensure operational readiness</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes, FAA/airport requirements (when applicable), environmental regulations, and internal standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience managing complex facilities or construction projects</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience independently leading large, multi-disciplinary capital projects</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of building systems (MEP, structural, civil)</li>\n <li>Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and cost control skills</li>\n <li>Ability to influence without authority and communicate effectively with senior leaders</li>\n <li>Proficiency with tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, or Bluebeam</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li>\n <li>Experience with industrial, manufacturing, aviation, or airport facilities</li>\n <li>Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, PE, LEED AP, or similar)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with FAA processes and environmental reviews (CEQA/NEPA)</li>\n <li>Experience supporting fast-growing or highly regulated environments</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $148,400 - $192,100/yr.
