    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p><img src=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/cccustom/Client/Recruitment/carlile%20logo_8fef8389-1cf7-49b3-935a-622e5ca7e52e.jpg\" style=\"width: 175px;\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib fr-fil\"></p><p><br></p><p>This position is primarily responsible for driving diesel-powered trucks to transport and deliver freight products and materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form. &nbsp;</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSE policies and procedures&nbsp;</p><p>Inspect truck and trailer(s) for defects through pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit reports indicating their condition&nbsp;</p><p>Operate a variety of trucks and equipment&nbsp;</p><p>Maintain driver and maintenance logs (electronic and manual) according to State and Federal regulations as well as Carlile policies and procedures.&nbsp;</p><p>Make pick-ups and deliveries in a manner that reflects superior customer service&nbsp;</p><p>Be knowledgeable of multi-state DOT regulations as well as multi-Canadian province regulations.&nbsp;</p><p>Spot trailers to warehouse, chock wheels, and assist in loading and unloading trailers&nbsp;</p><p>Maintain contact with terminal dispatcher to receive instructions and report safety hazards and/or incidents involving the driver or any company equipment&nbsp;</p><p>May be required to perform emergency roadside repairs&nbsp;</p><p>Ensure that cargo is secured for transport according to the FMCSRs and Carlile Policy&nbsp;</p><p>Maintain a clean work environment including swept trailer, clean cab, windows, and mirrors&nbsp;</p><p>Check for discrepancies in paperwork and verify proper placarding when hauling HAZMAT&nbsp;</p><p>Break sets and park trailers in designated locations&nbsp;</p><p>Pick-up and delivery of freight between terminals&nbsp;</p><p>May be required to hook own sets&nbsp;</p><p>May be required to perform general vehicle maintenance&nbsp;</p><p>Other duties as assigned&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><p>High school diploma or GED&nbsp;</p><p>Class A CDL with endorsements, including HAZMAT&nbsp;</p><p>Must maintain Hazmat certification&nbsp;</p><p>Two years of verifiable, safe, over-the-road (OTR), Line driving, or Local driving experience preferred (may differ upon location).&nbsp;</p><p>Current USA passport, or enhanced driver&rsquo;s license, and a clean record to enter Canada under Canadian law, preferred&nbsp;</p><p>Doubles endorsement for 6-months prior to LCV certification, or current verifiable LCV certification, preferred&nbsp;</p><p>Tanker endorsement, preferred &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and meet regulatory deadlines.&nbsp;</p><p>Impeccable character, integrity, and unfailing initiative in a team environment&nbsp;</p><p>Must be experienced to operate in snow and ice road conditions and be able to chain-up.&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to work various shifts and days of the week&nbsp;</p><p>Record of safe and competent driving as demonstrated on driver&rsquo;s abstract and driving files.&nbsp;</p><p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills&nbsp;</p><p>Must have a basic mechanical background and aptitude coupled with the knowledge of how a diesel truck operates.&nbsp;</p><p>Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts&nbsp;</p><p>Position may require one to be out on the road 60%-80% of the time&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to prioritize daily task and assignments&nbsp;</p><p>Must be customer focused.
