    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>DEPARTMENT</strong>: Northern Kentucky Corps</p>\n<p><strong>REPORTS TO</strong>: Corps Officers</p>\n<p><strong>SUPERVISES:</strong> N/A</p>\n<p><strong>STATUS</strong>: Non-Exempt</p>\n<p><strong>SCHEDULE</strong>: 35 to 40hrs per week (Hours Vary according to need)  </p>\n<p><strong>FUNCTION</strong><strong>:</strong> To provide ministry support, assist in bridging children and families from community and other corps programs into ministry programs. Run enriching youth ministry programs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>DUTIES:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Teach/ Coordinate Youth Sunday School </li>\n <li>Sunday Program Participation as assigned (Children’s Five, Prayer, Preaching, Program Planning, etc.)</li>\n <li>Support Outreach/ Evangelistic opportunities </li>\n <li>Oversee and run Corps Children’s programs.</li>\n <li>Visitation and Mentoring of Youth </li>\n <li>Assists with Teen Discipleship activities and Bible Study </li>\n <li>Collect and report statistic to corps officer. </li>\n <li>Attend staff training (KeepSAfe)</li>\n <li>Adhere to Kentucky State Licensing Regulations</li>\n <li>Communicate with After School Program Director to schedule and coordinate programs, including daily activity schedules, group outings and program guidelines to prevent infringement/overlap and upkeep of licensing guidelines. </li>\n <li>Supervision of assigned group, including meals, recreation times and other scheduled activities.</li>\n <li>Plan and direct activities as needed (Life & Character Building, Crafts, Structured/Unstructured Gym Recreation)</li>\n <li>Supervising volunteers as necessary</li>\n <li>Assist with set up and cleanup of program areas (meals, Before/After Program daily)</li>\n <li>Each week, provide a list of needed supplies to Corps officer.</li>\n <li>Other responsibilities as needed. </li>\n <li>Supports Christmas activities as needed. </li>\n <li>Supports fundraising activities as needed. </li>\n <li>Provides good stewardship to building money, resources, and equipment. </li>\n <li>Assisting Corps Officers/administrators as necessary</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMTIM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma required</li>\n <li>Valid drivers license </li>\n <li>Effective communication skills</li>\n <li>Experience working with children</li>\n <li>Experience in elementary education preferred</li>\n <li>Must be safety conscious</li>\n <li>Must adhere to NKY Health Department mandates and regulations as it pertains to COVID 19 </li>\n <li>Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly; English preferred</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to work and relate well with individuals who possess varying needs</li>\n <li>Must be able to handle difficult situation/confrontations in a professional manner</li>\n <li>Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the mission of The Salvation Army</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>The Salvation Army’s Mission StatementThe Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.Its message is based on the Bible.
