Patients admitted to this unit often face urological conditions, such as infections and other complications, but our team also treats a wide range of medical patients with complex needs, including diabetes management, and more. The 6200 unit offers a unique environment for both new graduates and seasoned nurses to expand their clinical expertise, focusing on skill development, time management, and the care of diverse patient populations. Nurses on this unit bring advanced technical knowledge in the field of urology, supported by an in-depth understanding of related pathophysiology and the ability to interpret complex lab results. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department ECG interpretation competency and ACLS certification within 12 months of assuming role. Maintains ECG competency and ACLS certification while in role. Registered Nurse licensure Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle Minimum of 2-3 years Clinical in Nursing experience Previous charge or lead experience strongly preferred Job Responsibilities: Coordinates daily patient care with the healthcare team and acts as a resource for standards, policies, and clinical procedures.
