This role will bring deep expertise in sheet metal and welding processes – while also contributing to improvements in related upstream and downstream processes. The primary responsibility is to apply strong engineering and problem-solving skills to drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost and capacity in a contract manufacturing environment.</p><p>This role supports base business improvement and/or new product launches, develops tooling and fixtures, implements lean methodology, investigates issues using root cause analysis, implements improvements, manages CAPAs, and creates documentation such as standard work and validation protocols. The engineer collaborates cross-functionally to optimize designs for manufacturability &amp; cost and communicates effectively with internal teams and customers.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, validate, and sustain robust processes in direct support of sheet metal and welding – fabrication, fixturing, validation, distortion control, and finishing&nbsp;</li><li>Support engineering projects that enable capacity expansion, automation, and tech transfer&nbsp;</li><li>Identify and communicate manufacturing cost drivers and DFM opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with quality and regulatory teams to ensure compliance requirements are met&nbsp;</li><li>Apply root causes analysis to resolve process issues and eliminate waste.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Design and implement tooling, fixtures and equipment to improve productivity and cost.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify efficiency opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Create, review and approve engineering drawings, equipment layouts, change orders and specifications.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Create and execute validation protocols.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate complex issues with customers and internal team members.&nbsp;</li><li>Support new product launches by developing scalable, compliant processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Address and lead assigned CAPAs pertaining to the area of responsibility.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in the execution of projects with minimum supervision, on time and within budget to achieve tangible results.&nbsp;</li><li>Drive improvements through root cause analysis and data driven decision-making.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in cross-functional project teams to implement creative solutions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Meet internal and external customer expectations.&nbsp;</li><li>Infrequent (&lt;10%) travel for customer meetings and industry events &nbsp;</li></ul>",
