The lead teacher utilizes best developmentally appropriate practice methods at all times. They are a positive role model for all care giving staff and children. Furthermore, they are customer service orientated and professional.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">DUTIES</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Assist children with activities and daily life (restroom use, diapering, hand washing)</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Approach parents daily with them about their child.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">care and friendly service.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, clutter-free, and</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">safe for all children.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Supervise teacher assistants in the classroom and ensure they are following program</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">policy and customer service expectations.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Train any teacher assistants in the classroom and direct them as to what duties need</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">to be carried out throughout the day.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Plan daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Conduct child assessments and facilitate parent-teacher conferences.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Attend and engage in occasional parent participation events and other events that</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">may be on nights and/or weekend-ends.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Prepare monthly parent newsletters and weekly lesson plans.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Be responsible for daily recording of activities pertaining to eating, sleeping, and</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">diaper changing.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Maintain a professional self image and project the value of the organization at all</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Have a high school diploma or equivalent education<br></li>\n<li><br>Have completed or able to enroll in the required ECE courses to be a qualified teacher.</li>\n<li><br>Be CPR, First Aid, Health/Safety, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified.</li>\n<li><br>Complete a TB test and physical.</li>\n<li><br>Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children alone in one</li>\n<li>Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences.</li>\n<li><br>Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities.</li>\n<li><br>Willing to fulfill the responsibilities in accordance with the Church’s educational philosophy</li>\n<li><br>Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit as evidence of a growing Christ-centered life (Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 5:18-21)</li>\n<li><br>Be teachable and faithful in learning from and following those in authority over him/her and fully supporting the vision of Crossline Church.</li>\n<li><br>Fulfill the duties required of Crossline Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.</li>\n<li><br>Philosophical alignment with church leadership</li>\n<li><br>Committed to continued development</li>\n<li>Clear Live Scan and Criminal Background<br></li>\n<li>Hours may vary as needed;
