While the role is formally housed within the Data Governance team to ensure adherence to enterprise data standards, security, and quality practices, the position will be 100% dedicated to supporting the Research, Evaluation, and Analytics (REA) department. This role will design, build, and optimize ELT pipelines and enable high-quality, well-governed analytic datasets to support research, evaluation, reporting, and decision-making across the organization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position plays a critical role in modernizing the organization’s data infrastructure while ensuring data quality, trust, and usability for research and analytics. The work directly supports evidence-based decision-making by enabling timely access to reliable, well-structured data.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Data Migration &amp; ELT Development</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, develop, and maintain ELT pipelines to migrate data from SQL Server to Snowflake</li>\n<li>Refactor and modernize existing SQL Server–based processes for Snowflake architecture and performance</li>\n<li>Implement efficient data loading, transformation, and validation processes using Snowflake-native capabilities</li>\n<li>Optimize queries, storage, and compute usage for cost and performance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Data Governance &amp; Quality</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with the Data Governance team to ensure ELT processes align with data standards, definitions, and quality rules</li>\n<li>Implement data validation, auditing, and reconciliation checks during migration</li>\n<li>Support metadata documentation, data lineage, and transparency for analytical datasets</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Research, Evaluation, and Analytics Support</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with REA analysts, researchers, and evaluators to understand data needs and analytic workflows</li>\n<li>Translate research and reporting requirements into scalable ELT solutions</li>\n<li>Support development of clean, analysis-ready datasets optimized for statistical analysis and reporting tools</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot data issues impacting analytics, dashboards, and research outputs</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Collaboration &amp; Knowledge Transfer</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and governance partners across teams</li>\n<li>Document ELT processes, migration decisions, and best practices</li>\n<li>Support knowledge transfer to internal staff to ensure sustainability beyond the contract period</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience building ELT/ETL pipelines in a production environment</li>\n<li>Strong SQL expertise, including advanced querying and performance optimization</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, loading, transformations, and performance tuning)</li>\n<li>Experience migrating data from SQL Server or similar relational databases to cloud data platforms</li>\n<li>Familiarity with data quality, governance, and documentation practices</li>\n<li>Ability to translate business or research requirements into technical data solutions</li>\n<li>Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders</li>\n<li>Experience supporting research, evaluation, or analytics teams</li>\n<li>Familiarity with data modeling approaches for analytics (e.g., dimensional models, flat analytic tables)</li>\n<li>Experience with ELT orchestration and transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar)</li>\n<li>Experience working in regulated or privacy-sensitive data environments</li>\n<li>Prior work in matrixed roles supporting both governance and analytics functions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Arctiq is an equal opportunity employer.
