We offer great benefits and competitive wages.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>PURPOSE: </p>\n<p>Working under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor and the Lead Housekeeper, the Housekeeper will provide efficient and effective cleaning services to designated areas, meeting the needs and objectives of both the Facilities department and Rockhurst High School. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<p>(<strong>Note:</strong> The following list of responsibilities is not exhaustive. Others may be assigned, subject to reasonable accommodation.)</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform all tasks associated with cleaning the cafeteria for the purposes of ensuring a safe, clean, attractive and sanitary environment.</li>\n <li>Vacuum carpets and upholstery, dust control mopping of hard surfaced flooring, damp mopping of flooring, machine buffing and spray cleaning of hard surface flooring.</li>\n <li>Must be conversant with the use and safe operation of mechanical/electrical cleaning equipment as provided by the maintenance department, for the fulfilment of cleaning duties.</li>\n <li>Damp dusting of furniture, work surfaces, ledges, cleaning internal glass, removing finger marks from doors and surrounds.</li>\n <li>Cleaning of toilets, sinks, baths, showers, and also the cleaning of bodily fluids from all surfaces, as dictated by local procedures.</li>\n <li>To replace trash can liners, hand towels, hand soap, toilet rolls and all other consumables as required.</li>\n <li>To damp dust all high level surfaces.</li>\n <li>To clean additional assigned areas as reasonably required by the supervisor and management.</li>\n <li>To clean any additional assigned areas and carry out any other duties as assigned by your manager/supervisor, and to clean in any part of the school as designated by your Director/supervisor in order to meet the needs of cleaning.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior custodial or commercial housekeeping experience including the use of vacuums, buffers and other cleaning equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and use cleaning equipment and chemicals in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and ability to use Personal Protective Equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Must pass a background check and Virtus training.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>This position is regularly scheduled Monday –Evening shift Monday - Friday.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>MISSION STATEMENT</p>\n<p>Rockhurst High School serves the greater Kansas City area by educating Ignatian leaders, MEN FOR OTHERS, in the Roman Catholic, Jesuit college preparatory tradition.
