This position offers a flexible schedule and work environment based out of our <strong>Madison, Baraboo or Beaver Dam office.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why MSA?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Collaborative Culture:</strong> Be part of a supportive team where your contributions are valued and your growth is nurtured.</li>\n <li><strong>Employee-Owned:</strong> Benefit from our 100% employee-owned ESOP program and share in the success you help create.</li>\n <li><strong>Diverse Projects:</strong> Every day is different with a wide range of projects that challenge and inspire.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Lead and Manage Projects</strong>: Oversee all phases of transportation projects — from scoping and budgeting to scheduling, QA/QC, and delivery</li>\n <li><strong>Cultivate Client Relationships</strong>: Build trust with existing and prospective clients through virtual and in-person meetings, clear communication, and consistent follow-through</li>\n <li><strong>Design Impactful Infrastructure</strong>: Develop innovative designs for roadways, bridges, trails, and other multimodal transportation facilities</li>\n <li><strong>Develop Technical Deliverables</strong>: Prepare construction documents, including detailed plans, technical specifications, and bid packages that set projects up for success</li>\n <li><strong>Navigate Regulatory Requirements</strong>: Prepare technical reports and secure permits, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle</li>\n <li><strong>Support Proposal Development</strong>: Collaborate with the MSA team to review RFPs and contribute to compelling proposals that win work</li>\n <li><strong>Mentor and Grow Talent</strong>: Guide and support junior engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment</li>\n <li><strong>Engage in Construction Oversight</strong> <em>(Bonus Skill)</em>: Apply construction management and field inspection expertise to monitor project implementation (a plus, but not required)</li>\n <li><strong>Communicate with the Public</strong>: Create and present compelling visual displays and messaging for public meetings and engagement efforts</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering</strong> is required</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Professional Engineer (PE) licensure</strong> (WI) is required </p></li>\n <li><p><strong>4+ years of experience</strong> in mobility or transportation engineering</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>WisDOT project experience</strong> is a strong plus</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with AutoCAD</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven experience — or a strong interest — in <strong>project management and client engagement</strong></p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent <strong>written and verbal communication skills</strong>, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly</p></li>\n <li><p>A collaborative mindset and <strong>eagerness to thrive in a consulting environment</strong></p></li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Work Authorization</h3>\n<p>This position requires authorization to work in the <strong>United States for any employer</strong>. <strong>We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.</strong></p>\n<h3>Benefits & Compensation</h3>\n<p><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $79,000 – $126,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
