This responsibility involves assisting nursing staff with problem solving in patient care issues and assuming responsibility for the functions of ancillary departments, partially or not staffed, during these shifts. This role provides leadership in the area of clinical practice, education, administration, research and consultation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is per diem, non exempt and health benefits eligible.  The pay range for this position is $79.73/hour - $119.59/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides clinical supervision, making rounds on both units, EPACU, PACU/OR, ascertaining that quality nursing , family centered care, and growth and development principles for infants, children and adolescents are provided.</li>\n <li>Communicates effectively to the Administrator, Director of Patient Care Services, and Chief of Staff any emergency or concern regarding patients or hospital environment.</li>\n <li>Performs rapid assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care of immediate post operative patients.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates knowledge of the Code Blue procedure during an actual or “Mock” code. Replaces supplies/meds after each use.</li>\n <li>Evaluates daily the care plan for each assigned patient according to outcomes and documents in the nurse’s notes.</li>\n <li>Assists in the orientation of new personnel and students.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates effective use of problem solving, conflict management, and teambuilding skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Note: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<p>BSN</p>\n<p>CA RN License</p>\n<p>BLS</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Preferred</p>\n<p>3 Years Nursing experience</p>\n<p>1 Year Nursing Supervisor</p>\n<p>2 Years Critical Care</p>\n<p>2 Years Pediatric experience</p>",
