    "description": "<p>ABOUT NCOSE &amp; INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:</p>\n<p>The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) exists because people should be free to live and love without sexual abuse and exploitation! If you share this vision and want to help create a culture where all individuals can thrive, then we invite you to join us!  </p>\n<p>The Exploitation Prevention &amp; Advocacy Internship program enables you to participate in the ongoing work of defending human dignity. Internships offer a unique opportunity to combat sexual abuse and exploitation while gaining new skills through hands-on opportunities that seek to prevent exploitation before it begins. Interns also enjoy abundant opportunities to meet nationally recognized leaders in the field of anti-sexual exploitation and attend education briefings. The program also offers interns an opportunity to investigate their individual strengths and develop new skills. <br>NCOSE is focused on mass-scale prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation and deploys the tactics of corporate advocacy, public policy, civil litigation, and grassroots mobilization to reach this.  Read about some of our recent victories <a href=\"https://endsexualexploitation.org/articles/category/victories/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here</a>.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>ABOUT THIS POSITION:</p>\n<p><span>Interns will be involved in all facets of communications including researching, drafting, and editing content that raises awareness about sexual exploitation issues. Responsibilities will include creating social media content, infographics, or website content to support the organization's mission in eradicating sexual exploitation and promoting a culture of dignity. This internship offers valuable experience in many areas of communications for a cause-driven organization and engaging in advocacy initiatives to address critical issues related to sexual exploitation.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>*We are typically inundated with applications. We greatly appreciate your patience as we carefully review each candidate and ask that you hold your questions until contacted for an interview.</em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><span>TERM: September 2,- December 10, 2026; potential for extension</span><span>: six months or 1 year</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE*:</span></p>\n<p>1. Performing work on special projects as assigned by Supervisors. Such work may include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing, creating, and scheduling social media content</li>\n<li>Image or video editing</li>\n<li>Capturing audio and visual content at events, meetings, or press conferences in the office or around D.C.</li>\n<li>Curating content for the weekly NCOSE e-newsletter and social media sharing</li>\n<li>Assessing analytics on blogs, emails, and social media and thinking critically about how to improve performance</li>\n<li>Creating advocacy actions for individuals to contact legislators or corporations<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p>2. Communicating NCOSE’s vision, strategy, and impact to the public. Galvanizes the public to care about and take action on sexual exploitation issues through compelling content.</p>\n<p>3. Receiving exposure to aspects of running a nonprofit organization including:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>digital strategies (including maintaining an online presence and increasing base of support nationwide);</li>\n<li>grassroots mobilization and fundraising</li>\n</ul>\n<p>4. However interns may be provided a small monthly stipend of $500-$700 per month based on qualifications and hours in the office.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>SCHEDULE:</p>\n<p>This position requires 24-40 hours per week. Candidates must be mostly available during NCOSE’s office hours of Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm EST in order to coordinate with the team. Our team is in the office on M, W, &amp; Th and remote on T &amp; F.
