    "description": "<h2>Department Overview</h2>\n<p>OHSU-HMC Primary Care, Forest Grove provides personalized health care for your entire family. Our family medicine providers are committed to preventative, primary and specialty medical care for your children, spouse, parents and grandparents.  This position is employed by OHSU with a clinical location of Forest Grove.  Forest Grove is an HMC owned and operated clinic with HMC oversight of staff, policies and procedures.  This position will partner with both OHSU and HMC. </p>\n<p>Forest Grove Primary Care</p>\n<p>Family Medicine clinics are home to more than 120,000 patients every year, but despite the large number, our physicians, nurses and other clinic staff know their patients - and their families - by name. We provide all that family medicine has to offer - from maternity care through geriatrics. Our patient care is among the nation's best, ranked #1 among the nation's medical school family medicine departments by U.S. News and World Report 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023. Family </p>\n<p>Medicine strongly supports the comprehensive scope to provide the highest level of care for our community. The clinical work includes but is not limited to all ages of life including newborn to end of life, taking care of those are pregnant, and supporting patients with substance use disorder including medication-assisted treatment and gender affirming care. OHSU embraces diversity and welcomes all patients.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.</p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide full spectrum family medicine care including OB.</li>\n <li>Work collaboratively with full and part time faculty to maintain an active practice.</li>\n <li>The Appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.</li>\n <li>The faculty member will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, which is successful from both a professional and business point of view.</li>\n <li>The faculty member will be expected to participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development and scholarship.  Previous work experience in primary care is required.</li>\n <li>The Appointee will directly see patients in their clinic eight half days per week and have two half day’s available for administrative duties/scholarship duties.  Expectations for number of patients seen per half day will be commensurate with that of other faculty and with a target numbers of 7-10 visits per half day depending on complexity of the patient population.</li>\n <li>The Appointee will be expected to document using the electronic health record and maintain complete and timely patient care documentation consistent with OHSU and Family Medicine policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Be available for teaching activities including but not limited to resident precepting, student precepting, didactics and more.</li>\n <li>Compensation for the position will include a University base academic salary and a clinical incentive system based on productivity, as well as, personal initiative. </li>\n <li>By mutual agreement between the Department and the physician, this position may include Inpatient Care (at HMC and/or OHSU) with call duties being shared with the faculty inpatient call group.</li>\n <li>The Appointee will be expected to participate in seeing patients during expanded access hours in the clinic, including their share of evenings and weekends, and call coverage. The Appointee will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, which is successful from both a professional and business perspective.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible. (Licensed in Oregon)</li>\n <li>M.D./D.O. degree as well as a graduate medical education in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency. </li>\n <li>Capable of providing comprehensive health services</li>\n <li>Certified to prescribe</li>\n <li>Approved staff privileges at OHSU University Hospital, HMC and other specific community hospitals. </li>\n <li>Multilingual preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p><strong>This position also comes with great benefits!
