    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>FlexStaff is seeking <strong>Clinical Laboratory Technologists</strong> (for various departments including Blood Bank, Hematology, Microbiology and Chemistry) for our client, a leading hospital in Queens. This is a great opportunity for career growth and professional development within a dynamic and supportive environment.</p><p>This is a full-time, direct hire position.</p><p>Various shifts are open, primary need is for candidates available for evenings and nights.&nbsp;</p><p>Salary is commensurate with experience, candidates are hired into levels based on experience. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Maintains a program of quality control and participates in a program of quality assurance.</li><li>Advises staff on appropriate methods and techniques.</li><li>Oversees the ordering and maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment as well as the preparation, packaging, labeling, and standardization of laboratory media and reagents; and records results and pertinent data of prepared products or oversees this function.</li><li>Prepares labels, packages, and standardizes laboratory media, reagents, controls and specimens for use in analyses.</li><li>Prepares work orders for laboratory repairs.</li><li>Assists in developing and revising laboratory policies and procedures.</li><li>Conducts tests and/or other complex analyses.</li><li>Designs and maintains charts, logs, and other records.</li><li>Testifies in court or other proceedings as an expert witness.</li><li>May prepare correspondence and narrative/statistical reports.</li><li>May participate in or supervise the preparation, administration, and rating of laboratory proficiency test programs.</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Valid clinical laboratory technologist, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist limited or provisional permit issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).</li><li>One (1) year of full-time experience as a technologist in a clinical laboratory or blood bank.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><strong>*Additional Salary Detail</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\">The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
