They lead us to what matters most to our company: <em>creating a warm, caring, safe and professional environment for our customers and each other.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our culture of impassioned service delivery is the <em>Diversicare Difference</em>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Assists the Activity Coordinator in implementing and executing an Activity Program for all residents in the facility.</p>\n<li>Leads group activities as assigned by the Activity Coordinator.</li>\n<li>Provides one-to-one activities to those who cannot be in a group setting.</li>\n<li>Assists in planning Activity Program through Resident’s Council and Activity Coordinator.</li>\n<li>Maintains attendance sheets on participants.</li>\n<li>Assists residents to and from activities.</li>\n<li>Communicates status of residents to Activity Coordinator.</li>\n<li>May attend interdisciplinary care plan team meetings and document on care plan and in progress notes.</li>\n<li>May make arrangements for movies, live entertainment for special programs, and group outings, such as picnics, ball games or sightseeing.</li>\n<li>Assigns duties and delegation of responsibilities to volunteers.</li>\n<li>This position has access to protected health information in the resident’s   financial and medical records to conduct job duties.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>1. Experience in long term care required; preferred in recreational setting.</p>\n<p>2. An interest in people; the ability to communication ideas; to instruct residents and communicate with them appropriately.</p>\n<p>3. Ability to direct and perform a variety of activities and to respond to varied needs of residents.</p>\n<p>4.  Able to motivate residents and in promoting their well being through direct activities.</p>\n<p>5. Ability to interpret feelings, ideas, or facts in terms of personal viewpoint.</p>\n<p>6. Must be able to evaluate resident’s progress and accurately report to Activities Coordinator.</p>\n<p>7. Imagination and creativity are necessary.</p>\n<p>(EOE)</p>",
