Ensure employees have received safety training and are properly using safety devices and equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment.</li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring proper job rotation, good general housekeeping, and adherence to safety policies and work practices and procedures.</li>\n<li>Responsible for leading accident/incident investigations for all incidents within the department.</li>\n<li>Responsible for tracking and improving line efficiencies. Line efficiency improvements may involve process and/or line layout changes and making recommendations to reduce labor and material costs.</li>\n<li>Responsible for product quality and accuracy, and the timely completion of production schedules in established priority sequence.</li>\n<li>Maintain conformance with rules and regulations, issue verbal and written warnings when required. Recommend approved disciplinary layoffs when necessary.</li>\n<li>Administer company policies and maintain a pleasant employer/employee relationship on the highest possible level.</li>\n<li>Lead Monthly continuous improvement projects</li>\n<li>Responsible for training, mentoring and developing employees. </li>\n<li>Maintain the department vacation calendar and resolve vacation conflicts.</li>\n<li>Responsible for timekeeping for the employees in the department. </li>\n<li>Conducts a monthly departmental meeting covering the topics on the Monthly Department Meeting Agenda.</li>\n<li>Attend company-sponsored training classes and special classes to keep abreast of and well-informed on new developments regarding management and supervision, and other job-related courses.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br>Qualifications include:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus education.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience plus a minimum of 3 - 5 years previous experience as a supervisor or manager. </li>\n<li>Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills </li>\n<li>Strong Verbal and written communication skills</li>\n<li>Experience with participating or leading continuous improvement projects.</li>\n<li>Ability to solve problems with little direction. </li>\n<li>Proven ability to work with a team as well as leading a team. </li>\n<li>Ability to come in early, stay late or work on the weekends when needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">We don't just manufacture doors; we engineer the \"front door\" of the American dream and the security of global commerce.
