    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Paving Field Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of paving operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paving techniques, materials, equipment operation, team leadership, and safety protocols. The Paving Field Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure the successful completion of paving projects within established timelines and quality standards. They will be responsible for supervising and directing assigned crew members in preparing, executing, and finishing asphalt paving projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role is fast paced and requires someone who can take ownership of their work, make informed decisions, and coordinate with and direct the activities of all job site crews, subcontractors, and material and equipment providers. Additionally, the candidate must effectively interface with clients, inspectors, regulatory representatives, and other key individuals within the organization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrates technical proficiency in multiple aspects of asphalt paving.</li>\n <li>Supervises hourly crewmembers and plans/schedules manpower and equipment as needed.</li>\n <li>Manages deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safety, profit, scheduling compliance and customer satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Follows the Allan Myers Safety Program including preplanning to identify conditions and exposures, proper safety and personal protective equipment and accident investigation and reporting.</li>\n <li>Coordinates and collaborates with other Field Managers, Superintendents, and the customer to implement successful project plans.</li>\n <li>Provides on the job training to crewmembers for assigned tasks.</li>\n <li>Communicates performance expectations for productivity, quality, and safety to crews and ensures progress towards expectations.</li>\n <li>Administers timely and accurate documentation for project-related activities including change orders, time and materials, purchase orders, daily job control reports and receiving slips/invoices.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required (continuing education in construction highly desirable).</li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years of construction experience in at least one trade discipline (i.e., excavation, pipe, concrete, or paving) with one or more years construction supervisory experience preferred.</li>\n <li>OSHA 10 hour required.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Our Company Does Work That Matters</strong></p>\n<p>Allan Myers is the largest heavy civil construction and materials production contractor in the mid-Atlantic.
