We are looking for someone who writes compelling copy, has a strong visual sensibility, loves collaborating on a team, thrives in a fast-paced, quickly changing and deadline driven environment.</p><p>This position is represented by the News Guild – NY CWA.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Editing video - including day-of-air packages - and graphic elements for a live show on a tight deadline</li><li>Collaborating with producers and correspondents to research, write and produce strong editorial copy with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Working closely with EP, producers, correspondents, and anchors</li><li>Pitch the most relevant, timely and compelling ideas for day-of and future segments</li><li>Quality check video content&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Keep senior producers and the EP up to date with daily news development of assigned stories</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>You’ve been working in broadcast, streaming or cable news for 2+ years – preferably working on live daily shows or in and around a control room</li><li>You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience</li><li>You are willing to work in New York, New York</li><li>Willing to work 12p – 8p, Monday - Friday</li></ul><p><strong>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>You thrive working in a collaborative team environment</li><li>You’re able to work calmly under intense deadline to finish a project</li><li>You check and double check your work to ensure accuracy</li><li>You’re comfortable editing digital video and you want to get even better at it</li><li>You want a career in journalism and stay up on the news across multiple subject areas</li><li>You’ve got big ideas and want to develop your journalistic writing and research skills to bring them to life</li><li>You pay attention to the details of everything you work on</li><li>You have prior experience shooting in the field with DSLR cameras</li><li>You have prior experience editing video, ideally in both Avid and Premiere</li><li>You’ve got thorough knowledge of current events</li><li>You’ve got big ideas and the journalistic writing and research skills to bring them to life</li><li>You’re familiar with iNEWS</li><li>You live for the moments when news is breaking and time to air is short</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Requirements:&#xa0;</strong></p><p><strong>Hybrid:</strong> This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.</p><p>This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
