    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Description:</strong></p><p>At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world’s most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people.</p><p>We are looking for a Hydrogeologist to join the Water Management Team in the Carlin District. The successful candidate will support the Sr. Hydrogeologist and Project Manager in delivering the project by overseeing well drilling and construction, performing hydrogeology testing, and communicating dewatering status to other departments. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including a medical, dental, and vision plan with company-sponsored medical clinics, a 401k retirement plan with an employer match, paid time off, a company stock purchase program, and much more!</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Effectively manage planning, design, budget, and oversight of hydrogeology drilling &amp; construction</li><li>Perform hydrogeologic testing on drill holes and completed wells – including pump, injection, slug, packer, and airlift testing</li><li>Assist with the interpretation of hydrogeologic testing</li><li>Communicate with Mine Planning Staff – short and long range – to accomplish drilling goals</li><li>Provide hydrogeological expertise and guidance to Mine Operations and Mine Planning Staff</li><li>Install, operate, and maintain hydrogeology monitoring equipment</li><li>Collect and analyze monitoring data</li><li>Drill core logging of select holes where necessary</li><li>Manage/supervise drillers and subcontractors including invoice review and approval</li><li>Unconventional hours may be necessary due to drilling activities</li><li>Update and maintain hydrogeologic database</li><li>The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusived.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, civil engineering (or similar) is <strong>required</strong></li><li>Two (2) years of experience in the mining industry is <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Advanced technical communications, personal interaction and presentations skills <strong>required</strong></li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate independently and in small multi-disciplinary teams <strong>required</strong></li><li>Familiarity with drill rigs and installation of hydrogeology instrumentation <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Excellent computer skills including MS Office, LeapFrog, Deswik, Vulcan, GIS <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership <strong>required</strong></li><li>Project management skills are <strong>preferred</strong></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What We Can Offer You</strong></p><ul><li>A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!</li><li>Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless.</li><li>Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.</li><li>Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>Thank you for your application, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</i></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span>#LI-LS2</span></p>",
