          "text": "<p>The City of Americus is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of <u>Heavy Equipment Operator .</u> The beginning salary for this position is $29,636.00 annually ($14.25/hr.).</p><p><strong>Responsibilities </strong>for this position include driving/operating heavy construction equipment and trucks in support of public works street maintenance and construction projects. Work involves loading, transporting and unloading materials and equipment to and from work sites; and operating heavy equipment in order to construct, repair and maintain City water and sewer infrastructure and related services.</p>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Requirements </strong>include High School Diploma or its recognized equivalent GED; supplemented by one year of experience operating and driving heavy construction equipment in support of maintenance projects; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia &#xa0;Driver’s License.
