This position is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;<u>Essential Job Duties</u>:</strong></p><ul><li>Serves meals in the health center pantries.&nbsp;</li><li>Washes silver, glass, china in dish machines in pantries as per regulation.</li><li>Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders.</li><li>Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining rooms.</li><li>Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.</li><li>Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.</li><li>Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.</li><li>Ensures that orders match Physician’s diet orders.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u>:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.&nbsp; Ability to understand measurements and conversions.</li><li>Ability to plan and organize work set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.</li><li>Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers.&nbsp;Requires empathy for the elderly.</li></ul>",
