This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a client-facing environment, enjoys ownership of complex reporting and forecasting responsibilities, and brings both analytical rigor and business insight to every engagement.</p>\n<p>If you are a CPA (or working toward one) who enjoys shaping financial strategy while maintaining strong technical accounting foundations, we invite you to join us.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Reporting &amp; Analysis</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead weekly and monthly financial reporting engagements for clients, ensuring accuracy and providing meaningful financial insights.</li>\n<li>Prepare and present monthly financial statements and executive-level financial commentary.</li>\n<li>Drive forecasting activities, including identifying and explaining complex variances to budget.</li>\n<li>Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics to guide strategic decision-making.</li>\n<li>Create advanced financial and operational reports that support executive leadership.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Planning, Budgeting &amp; Forecasting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with preparation of annual budgets, independently developing assigned sections.</li>\n<li>Perform detailed variance analysis of actuals to budget and forecast.</li>\n<li>Support capital evaluation and capital spend forecasting initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Accounting &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments for transactions.</li>\n<li>Ensure accurate recording of transactions, including vendor invoices, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.</li>\n<li>Oversee and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and source deductions.</li>\n<li>Prepare and remit HST and payroll-related filings.</li>\n<li>Participate in process reviews and internal control improvements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Client Engagement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead client engagements independently with professionalism and accountability.</li>\n<li>Develop a strong understanding of client operations and financial objectives.</li>\n<li>Build long-term, strategic partnerships with clients.</li>\n<li>Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support client decision-making.</li>\n<li>Utilize strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Systems &amp; Continuous Improvement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with software providers to enhance financial and operational reporting systems.</li>\n<li>Identify and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li>\n<li>Participate in systems implementation and optimization initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Leadership</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>May oversee junior staff or interns.</li>\n<li>Model professionalism, accountability, and high-performance standards within the team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPA designation</li>\n<li>5+ years of experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements</li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage all aspects of A/R, A/P, and G/L, including reconciliations</li>\n<li>Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Excellent communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate at all organizational levels</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Perks and Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.</li>\n<li>Opportunities for professional development and growth.</li>\n<li>Collaborative and supportive work environment.</li>\n<li>Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance.</li>\n<li>Company events and team-building activities.</li>\n<li>Starting Salary: $70,000-$90,000</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>*Please note that all employees of Part-Time CFO Services must have access to reliable transportation and possess a full Ontario driver's license to commute to clients not accessible by public transportation.
