    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Job Summary</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">The Junior Electrical Engineering Technologist will work with the engineering and design teams to create electronic (CAD) working plans, technical drawings, and documents for various residential, commercial and industrial projects. This individual will prepare engineering sketches and design calculations for power distribution and roadway lighting systems.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Education &amp; Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma from a recognized technical institution.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">TT designation, or eligible for registration with ASET.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">1-3 years of design experience in electrical power transmission and distribution systems and power and lighting systems would be considered an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, AGI32, SpidaCalc, PLS CAD software is considered an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code, CSA Underground and Overhead Standards, Alberta Electrical Utility Code, and other applicable industry guidelines and standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">First aid and CPR certification would be considered an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Valid driver’s licence with no at fault accidents.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Assist engineers and project managers in the preparation of engineering sketches, work packages and design calculations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Review, interpret and implement utility and CEC specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Develop and utilize knowledge of design standards and procedures when completing drawings and deliverables to client and industry specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Design and draft technical drawings including single lines, electrical layouts and cable tray runs, lighting, wiring schematics, cable/conduit schedules, lighting panel schedules, junction box layouts, control panel layouts, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Maintain project records and documents.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Support the project team in designing the structure, operation, protection and control of electrical power transmission and distribution systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Support with the planning, design and specification of power and lighting systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Assist the project team in delivering high quality client service and, as experience is gained, engage with clients as needed to deliver top quality solutions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Collaborate with senior designers and engineers for support and development on more challenging tasks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Ensure all safety procedures and processes are followed with the goal of zero injury.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Work safely and follow all rules and procedures including attending and participating in safety meetings and completing all required safety orientation and training.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">With senior staff, travel to client sites for project scoping, verification, construction support and meeting with clients as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Completion of other relevant duties as required. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">Skills &amp;
