This role sits at the intersection of IT and the plant floor, working with SCADA platforms, MES tools, historians, and data integrations to enable real-time visibility, alerting, operational decision-making and AI/ML. Unleashing Your Potential </li>\n <li>Competitive Compensation, Health Benefits, & a generous flexible medical / Health spending account</li>\n <li>RRSP matching program</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement</li>\n <li>Discount program that covers almost everything under the sun - Restaurants, gyms, shopping etc. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Configure, develop, and maintain SCADA/HMI applications using Ignition (Inductive Automation). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain MES application features including alerting, reporting, and dashboard modules. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Build and maintain OPC-UA connections, tag structures, and data pipelines between plant systems and enterprise platforms. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Troubleshoot SCADA/MES issues and provide technical support. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain integrations between SCADA/MES platforms and enterprise systems (SAP, MongoDB, MSSQL). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support reporting and data workflows. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in commissioning and go-live activities for new production lines and automation upgrades. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical training and documentation for plant-floor and engineering staff. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Work collaboratively with engineers, electricians, and project leads to ensure projects are completed on time. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow all GMP, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Keep up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in industrial software and IIoT. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <strong>Required Experience</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of industrial automation principles and their practical application in a manufacturing environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency with Ignition (Inductive Automation) — including Designer, Gateway administration, and Perspective/Vision modules. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Working knowledge of MQTT and OPC-UA protocols, tag browsing, and server/client configuration. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with PLC platforms including Allen Bradley Studio5000, RSLogix500, FactoryTalk View, Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, or equivalent. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) — query writing, stored procedures, and JDBC/ODBC connectivity. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with MongoDB (schema design, querying, time-series collections) is an asset. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Scripting ability in Python and/or JavaScript for automation, data processing, and integration tasks. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of networking fundamentals relevant to industrial environments (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewall rules, UDP). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams spanning IT and Operations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Good communication, planning, and organizational skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to function with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Availability for on-call support after hours to support plant operations. <p><strong>What is the recipe for a great career at FGF?<u></u></strong><u></u>Working at FGF Brands, there is never a dull moment!
