Quality Assurance Specialist
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining RMT’s commitment to excellence by ensuring products meet both customer specifications and internal quality standards. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. This position is a weekend night position.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine product requirements, including material type, dimensions, and surface finish
Perform precise measurements (length, height, spacing, and alignment) to verify products meet required tolerances and specifications
Conduct surface finish inspections and hardness testing to ensure product quality and durability
Inspect first-run and in-process parts to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards
Set up, calibrate, and operate inspection equipment to maintain measurement accuracy
Document and communicate inspection results, including nonconformances, to the Quality Assurance Supervisor
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts
