The TPM will achieve specific Resident care, Team Member relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective non-clinical management of staff, customers, and referral sources. Maintains professional conduct, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with communities and clients. Represents Reliant Rehabilitation commitment to quality and services in all interactions with communities and clients, as well as adheres to Reliant Rehabilitation’s Policies and Procedures</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for the administrative and operation oversight of therapy, wellness, and fitness services within the community, in collaboration with the supervising Physical Therapist and Regional Director of Operations (RDO)</li>\n <li>Advocate passionately through these services thus driving meaningful and measurable outcomes for the community.</li>\n <li>Assign resident scheduling and other responsibilities to staff as needed.</li>\n <li>Assist with scheduling and other responsibilities to staff as needed</li>\n <li>Manage, orient, train and counsel department team members from an administrative and performance standpoint. Clinical supervision, clinical performance evaluation and resident care oversight are provided by a licensed Physical Therapist or appropriate discipline lead, in accordance with California practice acts. </li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with Reliant Rehabilitation and community specific policies and procedures for the department.</li>\n <li>Ensure documentation compliance from a regulatory, timeliness, and completeness perspective, while clinical accuracy and appropriateness are overseen by the supervising therapist of record. \n  <ul>\n   <li>is accurate and concise.</li>\n   <li>meets governmental and third-party payor requirements.</li>\n   <li>minimizes duplication; and</li>\n   <li>reflects a clear picture of the resident’s status, the skilled intervention, and the resident’s outcomes.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Communicate and coordinate department functions with other services in a constructive manner that promotes team rapport and effectiveness.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with community leadership team regarding department programs, goals, objectives, risks, and successes.</li>\n <li>Communicates effectively to the public (including medical personnel) within the community regarding the therapy services offered by Reliant Rehabilitation.</li>\n <li>Participate in utilization review, quality assurance, and care coordination in an administrative and collaborative capacity, with final clinical determinations made by licensed therapists authorized under California law. </li>\n <li>Responsible for revenue and expense controls to meet budgetary requirements.</li>\n <li>Establish goals and objectives for the department and implement strategies /activities to obtain success. </li>\n <li>Ensure timely and accurate billing processes and workflow, while clinical justification and medical necessity determinations remain the responsibility of evaluating licensed therapist. </li>\n <li>Enhance clinical expertise, professional and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists and other professional staff, self-study, and other continuing education activities.</li>\n <li>Maintain valid state license (where appropriate). Maintain awareness of issues related to the rehabilitation and senior living profession.</li>\n <li>Understand various relevant payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, as well as clinically appropriate means/modes of delivery. Provide quality care as well as reasonable goals and outcomes within the guidelines.</li>\n <li>Be compliant with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocol lifting using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a workday/shift. Must be capable of lifting fifty (30) pounds of dead weight alone.</li>\n <li>Must conduct self in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner at all times.</li>\n <li>Must adhere to the policies, principles, and guidance within the Employee Handbook and Code of Business Conduct.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work varying hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays.</li>\n <li>Attend all mandatory meetings, trainings, and assignments as delegated.</li>\n <li>Must comply with the position description for the discipline of current license.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PTAs may not complete screens in the state of California</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Competency: (If providing direct patient care at any time, a Regional Director of Operations may complete the discipline specific competency checklist).</strong><strong>  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong verbal & written communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse population</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, memos, and reports.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, productive work environment</li>\n <li>Ability to make independent decisions and problem-solve as appropriate</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively manage and motivate the team</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess a degree in therapy from an accredited school; or</li>\n <li>Two (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant</li>\n <li>One (1) year of management experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of state practice acts</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)</li>\n <li>Bacic Internet navigation skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certificates and Licenses:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must hold a current and active license as one of the following: Physical Therapist Assistant</li>\n <li>All duties are performed in compliance with the California Physical Therapy Practice Act.  The PTA does not independently supervise Physical Therapist, establish plans of care, perform evaluations or screens, or make clinical judgements reserved for licensed Physical Therapists.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervise the work of others in the community to include, but not limited to: training, coaching, resolving issues, maintaining personal records, and assisting with discipline</li>\n</ul>",
