Exhibits critical thinking and problem solving skills.  Performs complete, accurate documentation (PIs, data collection, admission assessments, POC, etc.) in accordance with policies and procedures.  Identifies individualized patient/significant other’s learning needs and implements appropriate measures to address identified knowledge deficits.  Demonstrates knowledge, respect, and sensitivity concerning patients’ rights.  Serves as a patient advocate.  Assures confidentiality of patient information.  Maintains effective communication with all staff, physicians, patients, families and other departments.  Participates in the development of standards and unit performance improvement activities.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Bachelor in Nursing preferred.  Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Must possess current BLS Certification; ACLS preferred.  Telemetry, ekg experience preferred.</p>",
