    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical assistance to strategic suppliers and production departments to reduce lead-times and costs.</li>\n <li>Assist with commodity strategies that support the desired profitability, level of quality, and cycle time of various product lines that meet or exceed customer expectations.</li>\n <li>Develop tools and processes to improve materials flow throughout the entire supply chain.</li>\n <li>Streamline processes and material flow to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.</li>\n <li>Contribute to cost reduction efforts internally and externally by actively seeking and implementing opportunities for reduced costs.</li>\n <li>Generate routers, build process drawings for manufacturing &amp; tooling, and design raw material or process drawings for the design-engineering group.</li>\n <li>Assist with determining supplier capabilities and sourcing of new products.</li>\n <li>Provide technical support to manufacturing shop as needed.</li>\n <li>Stay abreast of changes in technology that will improve manufacturing efficiency.</li>\n <li>Create leaner, more efficient and more profitable business practices.</li>\n <li>Perform other work related tasks as assigned</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design special assembly tooling, fixtures and shop aids required to support production requirements.</li>\n <li>Update and maintain process routing systems to include correct routing sequences utilizing the preferred machining or assembly selection, tooling identification, and efficiency factors to reduce product cost.</li>\n <li>Supporting supplier sourcing efforts as required including activities such as supplier manufacturing capability assessment; production problem resolution; cost reduction and quality improvement efforts.</li>\n <li>Interact with machinists, tool makers, programming dept and other support groups and identify opportunities to increase productivity of welding, machining &amp; assembly operations.</li>\n <li>Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in methods, procedures, technology, equipment, or workflow which increase throughput and/or accuracy.</li>\n <li>Managing configuration throughout the ERP system for all items by computing queue times, maintaining resources to ensure accurate capacity planning.</li>\n <li>Dispositioning non conformances recorded during the manufacturing process by consulting design engineering and driving corrective actions to reduce the same.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Systems Engineering / Mechanical Engineering preferred or may be equivalent&nbsp;to 5-10 years of experience.</li>\n <li>Experience in welding, machining and assembly of oilfield products preferred.</li>\n <li>Certification such as Lean, Six-Sigma, QRM is a plus preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of continuous improvement methods such as 5S, Kaizen, and Just-in-Time</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Problem Solving</li>\n <li>Results Driven</li>\n <li>Business Acumen&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Innovation and Process Improvement</li>\n <li>Detail Oriented&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Quality</li>\n <li>Compliance&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Data Competency</li>\n <li>Safety and Compliance&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>",
